Totally awesome

Ne LS a bit of a pain to pull over, feel like a lizard struggling to shed a sticky skin. Needs a bit more contouring in torso area, better panel cutting to preven stomach paunch ( I don't have this, but the wetsuit gives me some.

Much MUCH MUCH better than expected.

I tried a friends and I am waiting for mine to come in. I use this for scuba diving more than for surfing because of the heavy weight. I like having more flexibility when scuba diving compared to a regular wetsuit. It works in water about as cold as 60 degrees when diving. So far its December and I might make it through to January in the El Nino year, where water temps peaked at close to 75 degrees. In this regard - using it for scuba, it was a near perfect purchase. Its also pretty good looking but I would have preferred colors other than black. The zipper on my friends suit broke on his 4th use, so be careful with the zipper. I'll be very careful with mine. They should make it like a giant ziplock seal... that works in conjunction with the zipper to make it completely flush proof. If you have long hair.... watch out because when taking this chest zip suit on and off your hair will get caught. When your long hair is wet it is hard to take off the suit without it pulling hard on your hair. The zipper pull should have rounded edges and be a tab of unbreakable poly urethane instead of metal which can puncture the wetsuit or huge your eye. I have the cut near my eye to prove that it is a bad design. The zipper should be a waterproof YKK. The cheap plastic toothed non-sealing, non- waterproof zipper (like the kind you would find on a cheap duffle bag or bargain windbreaker) is out of line with the quality of the rest of the suit. The ends of the arms and legs could be better sealed instead of straight cut, and would be more durable over time if they rolled and sewed them or at least somehow tucked in the fabric edging by glueing or something. Also when taking off the suit be careful because the zipper pull when pulled over your head could easily gouge out your eye. Make sure you grab and cover the zipper pull with your hand covering it when you pull it over your head or it can stab you. Also the zipper could be a lot more waterproof- they should use the zippers like on kayak "dry bags".The leaky zipper makes the wrist seals and neck seals seem pointless if the zipper leaks. I have not tried Henderson suits or Patagonia suits, but once you get the hang of getting in and out of this suit, its pretty good and really the leaking is minimal except for that zipper. Sorta a guy thing- but maybe there should be an extra thick patch of neoprene or a pouch for your "junk" since that can get cold and always shifts around in the suit, and when you are 20 feet under- it's impossible to get your "junk" comfortable if it moved. Knee pads are ok- but I see wear on the arms...
