The Water Dancer is a series of short films in which Quiksilver
ambassador and world champion surfer Stephanie Gilmore
meets and has a conversation with premier dancers to learn
what inspires and drives them and how their dancing relates
to her passion of surfing. Here are their stories.
STEPHANIE GILMORE
22-year-old Stephanie, who was born and raised in NSW Australia has already become one of the most accomplished surfers in the world. She has won 4 ASP Women's World Tour victories.
TILER PECK
Tiler has been dancing since the age of seven and is currently a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet. She has appeared on Broadway and in films such as Donnie Darko.
NOEMIE LAFRANCE
Noemie is a choreographer & artistic director specializing in site-specific work for public space and urban architecture. She has completed commercial video work with Apple and recording artist Feist, as well as performance pieces with architect Frank Gehry.
CASANDRA RIVERA
Casandra "Defy" Rivera is recognized as one of the top b-girls on the East Coast. She has appeared in many commercials, films and documentaries and travels around the world performing and competing.
