It's a good watch for surfing. It's easy to see what the tide is doing and hasn't had any problems yet. The strap seems a little bit flimsy, so hopefully it won't wear out too quickly.

This watch is horrible! My second one is flooding just like the first one. Got the first one and after a year it started to flood so I sent it in and received a new one under warranty and now that one is dead too and now it's out of warranty so I'm out of luck. Plus the band is cheap and develops cracks and tears after time.

this watch reminds me of the old school Casio watches in the 80's by the way you scroll through it. Its a nice watch but if you are looking for an accurate tide watch you definitely do NOT want this watch. The tides are off by up to 4 feet!!! If you just want to know when the tides are high or low then the watch isn't so bad. It is still a bit off but whats 20-30 min right? havent had it long enough to really tell how good the quality is but i am hoping for the best

I got this from [@] as a new item. It was DOA so I had a jeweler put a new battery in it for $15. Why not. Boom, it worked. Next day I took it to the water in 2-3ft surf. After around 30 minutes the readout was nearly illegible. After 1 hour the watch was dead completely. I didn't slam the watch against anything. I took care of it and used it for what I thought I should be using it for. Luckily, [@] return policy is great. I replaced it with a nice GSHOCK watch and that thing has been working brilliantly. I really wanted to like this watch but they just did not make it easy.

This watch is awesome with the tide chart and options for beaches! The fact that it offers the heat time and counts down each min is huge for the moment you need it. This watch is fun with the colors but can still add class to an outfit.

I bought this watch for surfing. After two weeks the Band broke. I called Quicksilver, NO RESPONSE.. I like the watch it is a great watch. However the construction is garbage. Customer service sucks. I have since canceled my order on the new cypher wetsuit as well. I hope that this is an isolated incident, but researching online for a replacement band this seems to be a common thing with quicksilver watches. Buyer Beware... [*]
