Unfortunately sometimes the clothing is made in countries where the people are small and mess up the sizes--if you are usually a Large you have to use an XL--I ordered it on line and could not try it on before--in this case it fits tight around the arms and chest--I'm sure they did not want this jacket to make it as a slim fit, since it's almost a ski jacket. It is definitely a nice jacket and I'm keeping it--if you are a tooth pick you are ok--but if you are a surfer/swimmer be ready to send it back for a larger size.
