The Syncro 3/2mm Flatlock wetsuit is as basic of a wetsuit that you can get from Quiksilver. The key word here is "Flat Lock" stitching. This suit is what it is. Flat lock stitching is a sewing technique where the needle goes in one side and comes out of the other side of the neoprene. The result is you get a pin hole in the stitch where the needle has gone through, thus allowing pin hole leaks along the seams of the suit. For that reason, it is not going to be the warmest suit. A plus side for the Syncro Flatlock is it still uses the Hyperstretch 3.0 material, used two years ago in Quiksilver's top of the line wetsuits, and it still has the Mesh chest and back panels, which reduces wind chill. At [$], this suit really is all about price point. If you are a learning surfer, or you are not going to be surfing if water colder than 63-64 degrees this might be the suit for you. If you are becoming more serious about surfing and think you're going to be needing a suit for more colder conditions you are going to want to think about stepping up a tier to a suit with GBS (Glued and Blindstitched) seams at least.

Comments about Quiksilver 1009687 Syncro 3/2 Backzip Wetsuit:
I surf up and down the east coast and live in New Hampshire. I can wear this suit up until November in the cold water. It's a great suit.. The one downside I've found was it flushes in water around the neck.

I am a beginner at scuba diving and I browsed trough a lot of wetsuit before finding this one. The design caught my eye and I think for the price point it has good features.

Comments about Quiksilver 1009687 Syncro 3/2 Backzip Wetsuit:
I needed a spring suit for SUP, and being a big guy (6'2, 285) it is not easy to find a suit that will fit. The suit fits great and I am happy with the quality. It is still a little cold to get in the water here, but I am sure that by early April, I should be fine using the suit.
