I have been a loyal Quiksilver customer for well over 27 years. These shorts are by far the best I've purchased. They are lightweight, wash well, outseam is 22 inches, which makes these shorts way more stylish than the "short" shorts that guys my age tend to wear.
As for color, I purchased the zinc gray as I love the light, almost white gray colors. In the picture, they looked very light in color, but when I got the shorts today, they were a little darker than expected.
BUT, with that said, when buying clothing online, it is extremely difficult for vendors to get a well enough picture to show exactly what the color is, might be darker, maybe lighter, it comes with online shopping as why I was at all concerned.
In the process of ordering more pairs! Well done again Quiksilver!

Terrible Experience and unwilling to work with me!
I ordered a pair of black rockefeller shorts, and the ones received were blue. When I opened the package, it was at night. Assuming that the shorts were black, like I ordered, I threw them in the dirty clothes. After washing I realized, they were blue, leaving me with two blue shorts and NO black.
When I called to complain, they wouldn't take back the incorrect order, rather they offered me 15% off on a black pair of shorts. While I understand their point, I find it ludicrous they wouldn't work with me.
Very frustrating and I will NEVER shop at Quiksilver again.

Got these shorts about a month ago and i first ordered a size 32 which is what i normally wear, but they were way too big so i got a 31 and they fit pretty nicely. They are really light, look really cool, and feel awesome. Id highly recommend these shorts. Especially the gunsmoke color! i wish the khacki was a little darker though because id definitely buy them. too bad they arent.

The Khaki and Cork are very similar in color. Per the pics on the website it looked to me as if the Cork colored shorts were much lighter. That said, these shorts fit great and I would recommend them to anyone.

Love the material and length of the shorts. BIG problem is the inconsistency of the cut for the same size. I ordered 4 different color in a size 30 and only the black fit well. The other two were too wide at the waist and the one was irregular around the waist. I really want to buy more colors but hesistant due to the vast discrepancies within the same size.
I would suggest buying two of the same color to see which fits better and return the one that doesn't.
